Safe Contractor achieved for the 6th year running!

London-based Spectrum Recycling are proud to announce they’ve been awarded the prestigious Safe Contractor Award for the 6th year running.

The leading Health and Safety Accreditation proves to customers of the recycling focused waste and recycling collector that they are working with an organisation who possesses the right credentials when it comes to health, safety and ethical policy and practice.

The externally audited SSIP and PAS 91-aligned contractor accreditation scheme checks you meet the necessary requirements around health and safety, equal opportunities, diversity and environmental management practices.

Vince Whelan, Managing Director at Spectrum Recycling commented: “We have comprehensive operative training, as well as working closely with our customers on an ongoing basis to eliminate any risks. We urge businesses who are unsure as to the level of qualification or accreditation of their current waste services provider, to investigate this and protect their own customers and staff who may be at risk if appropriate procedures are not adhered to when operating large waste vehicles in public.

“More than this, we welcome the fact the accreditation looks further than just safety, but into the way we treat our staff in terms of equal opportunities and diversity, as this is the way I’ve built up the business. More than that, as a zero waste to landfill business, who recycle and recover energy from as much of the waste we collect as possible, another big thing the Safe Contractor accreditation assess is our environmental management practices. We’re so proud to have been re-awarded this for the 6th year running.
